The DJF Story
It started in a classroom..
Bill Priestley got the idea for The Dream Job Factory while teaching 10th grade history at a small private school. There, he saw the students’ apathy and the disdain for academics and wondered if there was a way to get the students more interested in their studies.
He managed to get the spring research project changed to a “Passion Paper” where student could do a research paper on anything they wanted – and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
Through that experience, Bill began to try to link education with purpose – to give students a reason to be more interested in academics. And what better way to do that than through pursuing a dream job where using what you’ve learned is of great importance in attempting a desired career.
It continued in another classroom…
Bill took his theories to the test by going to graduate school and earning a Master’s Degree in Education all geared around the idea of helping a young person figure out what they wanted to do with their life. Bill not only gained the knowledge THAT his theories worked, but also HOW they worked.
He then took that knowledge and, over the course of several years, created a method that students could go through that could identify possible dream jobs AND show students how to use their education in order to achieve those aspirations. That method became The Dream Job Blueprint.
…and comes to you as a classroom.
The Dream Job Blueprint represents more than 14 years of research, experimentation and knowledge dedicated towards helping young people find direction in their lives.
What comes next is an opportunity for you to take advantage of this method and implement it in your children’s or students’ lives and give them the tools to identify fruitful career paths that in turn can teach them to make solid decisions in where they want to take their lives professionally.
