The Central Theme
“What do you want to do with your life?” is a question we ask every day – but it is only the first question.
Broken down, The Dream Job Factory looks to do several things.
1. Establish a career map of possibilities in which a student would like to work.
2. Create pathways to those most desired careers to understand the journey required. This includes educational as well as professional tracks.
3. Pursue those pathways with coaching and guidance through expert mentorship.
In short, we are looking to engender a transformation of a young adult that is lost in their life to one that has a great grasp of who they are and who they want to become.
Our Methodology
We choose not to look at limitations, but potential.
There are many evaluation tools a person can use to gauge a certain measurement on who they are. The Myers-Briggs test, a DISC assessment, StrengthsFinder – all of these are good tools to accomplish getting those measurements and evaluating ourselves as a whole.
Where we differ is that we’re concerned with where they score highest and have the greatest motivation to excel – their greatest interests, their desired and best abilities, and the audiences they want to serve. As such, we are looking for areas of high intrinsic motivation – the things that drive a person – and then also identifying those outcomes that are greatly desired by the student.
The goal is to create the greatest opportunities for the student within the greatest motivations of the student.
We work for students so…
Students can create the life they want.
Whether it is through coaching, an e-book or our online class – there is an option available.
"What [Bill] did was he laid out 'passion' in a way that I had not heard before - and you could see the kids start to re-prioritize and see how academics could have a big impact on their life."
"My department utilized Bill to do a series of workshops on aiding students in determining their dream career based on their strengths, interests and passions. I was so impressed with the workshop series that I asked Bill to work with my daughter as she was struggling in trying to make a decision about her major. After meeting with Bill, she had a much more clear idea of where she was going and what was driving her decision."
"I can’t thank him enough for guiding me through this journey of chasing after my dream job. Well, I can officially say that I am working my dream job."

Our objective is to help your child find a professional goal they want to go after that will be fulfilling on an intellectual, physical and emotional/spiritual level. Through identifying those career goals, we institute a blueprint on how the student can use their education in order to make those careers achievable. Then, through the creation of a success blueprint, we show the student how they can achieve that goal in a matter of steps. We can also remain a coach for your child as they go through those steps and analyzing their decisions in the professional world.
Students are introduced to career influencing decisions when they start their sophomore year of high school. That’s the first year that colleges will really start looking at grades in evaluating a student (freshmen can get a pass because it’s usually a new school and they need time to adjust).
If a student is in college, we would like to see them before their junior year in school – that’s the point where many schools require a student declare a major and we want that major to be in line with their career aspirations.
In terms of individual coaching clients, we don’t take students younger than 16 (or younger than 14 if they are taking part in group coaching). On the other side, there is not an age limitation, but the program best fits those that can use their education (college/grad school…etc.) to their advantage.
If you have a student that is a good self-starter that can do assignments on their own, we would recommend using the ebook or online class version of The Dream Job Blueprint. If your student is more conflicted or confused about the process and needs more one-on-one mentorship, we would recommend starting with the group coaching and then transferring to individual coaching.
Like many consultations, we want to see if we are a good fit for the client and they are a good fit for us. We will explain what it is we’re going to attempt and we want to see how amenable your teen/student is to that. If everyone feels this is a good idea for all parties, we’ll continue with a suggested coaching regimen.
Group coaching sessions only involve the evaluation part of the program as the blueprint can really only be administered on an individual level. Students are given the opportunity to go through the evaluation activities and discuss their choices. Unlike individual sessions, there isn’t much time for 1-on-1 coaching.
The student is required to do some homework in between sessions.
All sessions are recorded through Zoom and will be available to parents of students through a download link.
In the packages we have available, each session builds on the last one and almost always requires the student to do some homework before the next session. In the evaluation phase, interests, abilities and audiences are discussed as to their strength and appeal. In the blueprint phase, we identify specific careers and explore the necessary educational and professional requirements to achieve them – in most cases, with a person already in the desired industry.
All sessions are done through Zoom and all sessions are recorded and given to the student. The recording will also be given to the parent if the parent is paying for the session and/or if the student is under the age of 18.
After the 4th module, if your student has not found at least one professional avenue worth following, we will suggest a break in coaching as what has happened is that the student has not experienced an interest that has impacted them intensely or an ability that they feel they really want to master.
In that case, we would recommend taking time off to explore those areas through new experiences. We would provide a list of industries and occupations that might be good experiences for the student. And knowing they already know the first three modules of the Blueprint, they would be able to come back and piece jobs together that would be worth pursuing in the long run.
The goal of the program is for a student to have great enthusiasm and intent on achieving a long-term career goal – one that they are excited to attack. We are not here to simply coach them through the system, but we want them to be able to attack life and go after the life they want in whatever ways they can.
Said a different way, we want them to go after a dream in such a way that they will “never let their dream die before they do.”
